Celtic Woman Concert
The night of March 5 was easily one of the best nights of my life. For me it was like a dream, having Chloe, Orla, and Mairead performing in front of me! Lynn and Alex were new, though. Lynn is actually really pretty (keep in mind-doesn't even come close to Meav), but she doesn't around all that much, and I think she could use a little more expression. As for Alex, I didn't really like her that much. I didn't like the style of her voice, which was kind of a broadway style, and it didn't fit in with all the other voices and the Celtic music. But I welcomed both newcomers in my mind. Speaking of in my mind, Mairead was definetly the star of the show. I used the binoculars, which were amazingly cool because I could see the faces up close. Mairead just used sooo much fun and expression in her face and her actions, like when she danced all over the stage, which had been very nicely decorated and it looked like a mini version of what the stage looked like in the DVDs. But the thing that happened that night that I will never forget is that while I was looking at her through the binoculars, Mairead looked at me. Like, 3 times. It was so awesome! She was smiling and moving her body, and she looked right into my eyes. I had seen some of the others (like Lynn and Chloe) sort of look at me but just for a second. But Mairead just held her gaze for 3 seconds or more. And I just smiled at her, nodding at her performance and how good it was. We also purchased a souvenier tourbook with really nice pictures and writing that I promised myself I would never cut out and hang in my room (it was hard). But i had a great time, and I was so sad when it ended and it was time to go home. But it was night I will never forget.
